Appeal for Information Following Car Meet at Tesco Beverley Way

Dear Residents of West Barnes,

I am aware of the recent car meet that took place at the Tesco car park on Beverley Way, New Malden, on Saturday 15 August 2026. Unfortunately, this event resulted in significant anti-social behaviour and reports of dangerous driving on roads surrounding the Tesco site and within the local area.

Your local Safer Neighbourhood Team attended Tesco and met with the Store Manager to discuss the ongoing concerns associated with these large car meets. I am pleased to inform you that Tesco is working closely with the police to address the issue and is investing considerable resources into additional safety measures aimed at preventing similar events from taking place in the future.

We are appealing to residents for assistance. If you have any CCTV footage, dashcam recordings, or photographs showing vehicles involved in this incident, particularly where vehicle registration numbers are visible, we would be grateful if you could share them with your local Safer Neighbourhood Team. We are especially interested in footage showing vehicles driving dangerously, racing, or travelling to and from the Tesco car park.

Any information provided could assist local officers in identifying those responsible and taking appropriate action against individuals involved in this behaviour.
